The Rappahannock County Fire and Rescue Association has elected the following officers to serve for the coming year: Paul Poling, Amissville, president; Frankie Huff, Flint Hill, vice president; Charles Manson, secretary and Brad Fisher, treasurer, both of Washington. The election took place at the November 18th meeting of the association held at Castleton. The fourteen members present represented four of the six companies in the county.
Old business completed included the final plans for the association Christmas party scheduled for December 16 at Flint Hill fire hall. The association voted to provide the meat for dinner with members bringing covered dishes to complete the meal. Frankie Huff agreed to provide his stereo for music.
The training and standard practices committees are to report at the January meeting the costs necessary for the repair of the smokehouse building used for the fire training school.
