Commission
Meets
A Commission on the Rural Community College, established this year by the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges, will hold its first meeting at Lord Fairfax Community College on December 5 and 6.
Dr. William H. McCoy, president of Lord Fairfax Community College, has also been appointed chairman of the Commission.
Dr. McCoy explained that the Commission, consisting of members from colleges across the United States, will meet for the express purpose of looking at the rural community college and pinpointing its problems and needs.
McCoy said: “We welcome the commission members to the LFCC campus and anticipate a profitable experience for those involved in the scheduled meetings.”
