refused to loan him a pencil, I just couldn’t believe it. The next day, I went to school and asked his teacher had she refused to loan him a pencil and her reply was that it was not her responsibility to see that the children had pencils. I know it is not the teacher’s responsibility to see that the children have pencils; however, the least a dedicated, concerned and sensitive teacher could do is to loan a pencil to a child to' take a test especially when he asked to borrow it. I know my son did not lose his pencil for the sake of losing it; in fact, this was the first time it happened to him this year.
