Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Madie Corder Hudson, 80, of Washington will be held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. at the Washington Masonic Cemetery. The Rev. John Burke and the Rev. David M. Moore will conduct the service.

Settle
Services for James Edward Settle of Viewtown were held Tuesday in Culpeper conducted by the Rev. Edward Hawkins and the Rev. A. C. Walker. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
Mr. Settle, 83, died Saturday, December 10, 1977, in Culpeper Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born in Culpeper County, the son of the late Edward and Lucy Jane Norman Settle.
His wife, Mrs. Fenton L. Settle, survives him. By a previous marriage to the late Grade Blackwell Settle, he leaves three sons, James J. Settle of Manassas, Kenneth Settle of Denver, Colo, and Randolph Settle of Viewtown; and two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Wise of Reva and Mrs. Ruth Bruce of Culpeper. Other survivors include one brother, Moffett A. Settle of Elkwood; three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Wood of Falls Church, Mrs. Grace Mozinga and Mrs. Beatrice Printz, both of Culpeper; 19 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
