The purpose of the Aduti Work Experience Program i; to provide job training and service to the economically disadvantaged, which will increase their self sufficiency, improve their employability, increase their employment opportunities, and ultimately lead them to maximum unsubsidized employment.
According to the best information available, there is a significant number of individuals who are not gainfully employed and who need the opportunities that this program has to offer. Through the opportunities offered by this program, participants will be given a chance to develop good work habits and attitudes, gain self confidence, and at the same time, prove to themselves and their employing agencies that they can become productive employees. While receiving this work experience, participants *will be provided with economic aid to sustain themselves and their families. Target groups to be served will be persons living below the poverty level and who are unemployed or underemployed. Special consideration will be given to older workers, welfare recipients, the handicapped, heads of households, minorities, and veterans.
