a week of prayer for foreign Missions with a service in the church Tuesday evening and one in the home of Mrs. Doris Williams Thursday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Eanes of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Lovel Walker were Wednesday visitors in the Alfred Sealock home. The Lyle Rectors of Orlean were Sunday callers.
Melissa Williams of Front Royal was Friday overnight guest of her grandparents, the Samuel Williamses. Tina Williams spent Saturday night with her cousin Melissa.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael North have a new house under construction on Route 610 in the Blue Ridge Mountain Estates above Chester Gap. The Norths are residing temporarily on Route 522.
Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Richardson of Sherman, Texas, and her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Wines, and Tamera of Strasburg Road visited their aunt, Mrs. Hubert S. Gilkey, Jr., and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert S. Gilkey III. Mrs. D. H. McNeil of Front Royal was a Sunday visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Williams and the Hubert Gilkeys.
The Chester Gap 4-H’ers held a craft meeting Thursday, Dec. 8 at the home of Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey. Members present were: Kim and Kelly Gilkey; Danette Hickerson; Susan and Jenna Wines; Tina and Theresa Williams; Angie Jenkins; DinaBird and Cindy Williams, and Gail and Sandy Wines and leaders, Mrs. Gilkey and Mrs. Mary Hickerson.
