education, but the debate should be on what is best for our children, not on what is the cheapest we can get away with.
Since ours is a small system, there are many „ amenities we will never be ,able ,J*) ^ffcr, but we should always try to do the best we can. When the PTA of the elementary school recently sent out a call to try to find volunteers to work to make the school better, we received a grand total of three calls. Only one of those was truly volunteering to help—the other two mainly wanted to air gripes about the school.
So for those who say our teachers are not as dedicated as those in the past, I ask: what have you done recently to aid the dedicated teachers we do have and hope to keep? What are you willing to do now?
