The Rappahannock Sheriffs Department has been plagued with a series of petty break-ins in the past week, some in the Washington and some in the Flint Hill areas.
On December 4, the residents of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Pate in Peyton Farms was entered and an inventory disclosed the items taken were a bottle of Scotch and a black and white television set.
Entry was gained to the house by breaking a porch door glass and a rear window.
A back window at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bishop was broken by vandals who took a 410 shot gun and two sleeping t>ags.
