Scouting Program. Mr. Titchenell is pastor of the Woodville Baptist Church and a member of the faculty of the local high school. He has been active in scouting for more than forty years.
Mr. Titchenell has received all of the Scout Training awards, and is a holder of the Stiver Beaver and District Award of Merit. The honors were initially presented him by the Rev. David Wood and Howard Holschuh at the May meeting of the Shenandoah Area Council. Mr. Titchenell was also recognized at the Baccalureate service Sunday evening at Rappahannock Cbunty High School.
This award was originated by the Association of Baptists for Scouting in cooperation with local councils of the Boy Scouts of America, and parallels similar recognitions by other , religions denominations. It is believed that the award to Mr. Titchenell is the first made to a Scouter in Virginia.
