June 14 is Flag Day, the beginning of a 21 day salute to America that will run through July 4. It’s a time to let flags fly from homes and businesses all over Rappahannock. As President Carter stated in his Flag Day Proclamation last year, it’s a time for all Americans ‘to honor America through public gatherings and other suitable activities that will demonstrate their pride in their Nation and its accomplishments.”
