Grove School House, Viewtown. Everyone is invited to bring articles for sale. Ten percent of the sale price of the articles sold will go to the Church, with the balance going to the owner.
If you have anything that you would like to have sold at the auction, make a list of the item or items and send it to one of the Auction Committee Members by June 24. The Auction Committee consist of Gary Bailey, Elmer Jenkins, and William Printz, Chairman. The Auctioneer will be Floyd Daniel Hitt.
It is important that you notify the Committee by June 24 as to what you will want to sell, in order that the Committee can advertise the sale. Walter Masterson’s School Board candidacy received some unexpected support at last Wednesday's special meeting of the Rappahannock School Board.
Just prior to the Board’s retiring to executive session for discussion of "personnel matters”. Dot Irvine of Sperryville rose to state her backing of Masterson's bid for reappointment. Her expression of appreciation for Masterson's active support and interest in county school children drew applause from some of the audience.
Masterson’s term as member of the Rappahannock School Board expires this month. The School Trustee Electoral Board will meet on Tuesday, June 20, at 8 p.m. in the elementary school to consider a new appointment or reappointment. r
