All insect pests are very prolific and the tent caterpillar is no exception. According to a report from one of our entomologists, starvation and other factors should help to reduce the surviving population of caterpillars this year, but unless the larval population is reduced by 97 per cent or more, there is a good chance of an equal number of caterpillars next spring!
