Kermit A. Weakley of Washington has been appointed to the Rappahannock Board of Zoning Appeals by Circuit Court Judge Rayner V. Snead. Weakley will replace M. H. Forward whose term expired recently.
Born in Madison County, Weakley attended high school there. He lived at Slate Mills in Rappahannock for a few years as a child, and returned to the county as a permanent Resident in 1969.
Weakley served in the U.S. Marines from 1943 to 1946, and was later employed by the Highway Department in Fairfax County before joining the D. C. government. There he worked in the Department of Corrections for 31 years, becoming Associate Director in charge of institutional services.
