Raye Marion Rector, a Longwood College senior from Marshall, has been named a member of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 1978-79.
Criteria used to select members are scholarship, leadership, extra-curricular activities, citizenship, service to a college or university, and promise for the future.
Raye, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Rector, is a 1976 graduate of Rappahannock County High School. She is an elementary education major who plans to teach upon graduation.
Raye is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and is vice president of Kappa Delta Pi at the college.

The Washington Baptist Youth will hold a Benson's candy sale in front of Bradford's Store in Flint Hill on Saturday, November 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Aide Visits
Jim Hobgood, assistant to Representative J. Kenneth Robinson, will be at the Rappahannock court house in Washington on Wednesday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Any area citizen with a problem of a federal nature or anyone who wants to relay opinions on national legislation can visit the court house and talk with Hobgood.
