The RCHS Basketball coaches got off to a good start this week by choosing their teams. The Varsity team is Wade Brown, Gary Settle, Steve Foster, Rodney Cook, Gary Leake, Greg Bright, Larry Settle, Dean Wilson, Tony Wayland, Gary Jenkins, Jeff Jenkins, Tony Armentrout, Buck Carter and Nils Aylor. The team will be coached by Mr. Robert Moffett. \
The Junior Varsity team is' as follows; Jim Tomko, Ernest Fletcher, Phillip Fletcher, Glenn Fletcher, Todd Vest, Chris Foster, Kenny Foster, Greg Martin, Lee Anderson, Carl Frye, Mike Leake, Mike Brown and Dwayne Myers. The J.V. team will be coached by Mr. Jim Logan.
Since girls basketball season is over the boy’s junior varsity and varsity basketball teams have been practicing everyday after school.
During girls basketball season, Mr. Moffett, the varsity coach, held a conditioning program. Boy’s trying out for both basketball teams could stay after school. The conditioning program included lots of running and lots of exercising.
The teams will travel to Clarke County High School Saturday, Dec. 2 to play their first game. We hope to see many of you there. Good luck to both J.V. and Varsity basketball teams this season.
Cheerleaders, J.V. and Varsity, have been having practices after school every Wednesday developing new routines to cheer both teams to victory.
