Soccer Clinic
Several members of the Washington “Diplomats” Soccer team will conduct a soccer clinic at Wakefield Country Day School for team members on Friday, November 17. The Diplomats are conducting the clinic as a public service at no charge to the school or students. The clinic will be followed by the showing of a film of the final match in the World Cup series of 1978 held in Argentina. Wakefield has five soccer teams for both boys and girls of various ages. These teams compete with the teams of other private schools in Northern Virginia.
Thanksgiving
Service
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m. the Amissville Baptist Church and the Forest Grove Baptist Church will hold a joint Thanksgiving service at the Amissville church for the community. The Rev. A. C. Walker will be the speaker and the Amissville Church Choir will bring special music.
Everyone is welcome to attend this service.
