Nichols’ motion was defeated by a three to twovote with Mrs. Massie, Alap Stokes and Walter Masterson opposed. His substitute motion to delete the greenhouse and horticulture classroom as priority items at the high school passed three to two with Masterson and Stokes opposed.
In response to the request from the supervisors for alternatives to the plans drawn by Davis and McClintock, Stokes suggested a capital outlay project limited to four classrooms and expanded storage, restroom and library facilities.
“I don’t think that will be adequate,” remarked Nichols.
“I think it would be very adequate,” Masterson countered.
