Wakefield Country Day School's Senior Chess Team defeated Fauquier High School by a score of 5-2 in a match held at Wakefield on Thursday, April 19.
Participating Wakefield team members included Richard Dierig, Denis Dierig. Matt Black, Rob Dickey, John Skowronski, Wynn Voeks and Kevin Smithgall.
Wakefield’s chess coach is Mr. Wolfgang Dierig of Front Royal.
