Miss Pamela Faye Burner and William Michael Davis were married March 31, 1979, at seven o’clock in the evening at the Amissville Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Burner of Amissville. The bridegrooms parents are Mr. and Mrs. W. Ray Davis of Warrenton.
The candlelight ceremony was performed by the Rev. Joseph S. Stirman, Jr., pastor of the church. Randolph T. Minter of Fairfax presented a program of nuptial music including the traditional wedding marches. James T. Hackley, Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska, cousin of the bride, sang “There is Love” and “Cherish” while playing the guitar.
The church was decorated with white mixed flowers, candelabras and an altar arrangement centered with candles.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her formal gown of chiffonella reembroidered Alencon lace with Schiffle and Alencon lace decals on long sleeves, had a high neck and sheer yoke accented with seed pearls. Her chapel length train was trimmed in Alencon lace. She carried a prayer book with a cascading bouquet of white sweetheart roses, daisies and baby’s breath.
Miss Johnnie F. Hackley of Omaha. Nebraska, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Her formal gown was blue. She carried a bouquet of blue tipped daisies, white sweetheart roses and baby's breath, centered with a candle.
