Smith

Raymond Edwin Smith, 77, of Bunker Hill, W. Va., died Friday, April 20, 1979 at his home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from Omps Funeral Home, Winchester conducted by the Rev. Robert Hershberger. Burial was in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester.

Mr. Smith was the son of the late John Wesley and Ada Bohrer Smith. He was employed at Dunn Woolen Mill and was a member of Payne’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Bible Gass at the church and was a former trustee and steward of the Martinsburg Moose Lodge. He was a member of the Middleway Masonic Lodge AF&AM No. 117.

Surviving with his wife, the former Miss Esther E. Swartz, are two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Swartz of Inwood, W. Va. and Mrs. Virgie Keys of Boston. Two brothers predeceased him.
