"No, no. It’s all true stuff,” Angie countered. According to the gossip columnist, she’s had no trouble gathering material. She’s not a social outcast either, now that she’s writing about her friends. Instead, just the opposite has occurred. Classmates seek her out to deliver choice tidbits of information. “They all want to be in the paper so they can get all the attention,” Angie said.
The newspaper is the brainchild of seventh grade math teacher Becky Monger. She said the idea arose out of School Board discussions on a gifted program for Rappahannock students. “My upper reading group had the ability so I decided to start a newspaper,” she explained.
