was taken ill during the performance, and died the same evening. The play’s comic plot involves the efforts of Argan, an extreme hypochondriac, to marry off his unwilling daughter Angelique to a doctor in order to receive free medical consultations for himself.
The role of Argan will be played by Matthew Black; Angelique will be portrayed by Janet Greeley. The threeact play contains a cast of forty-five and includes four ballet-musical interludes.
The orchestral score of The Imaginary Invalid, specially composed for the 1673 performance was located in the Library of Congress in Washington, D. C. by Wakefield’s Music Director, Mrs. Gloria Harris and will be performed by her for the P'ay- .....
Admission is S2.50 for adults and $1.00 for students. Proceeds will be used to meet production costs and to buy new stage equipment for the school.
