Rappahannock's small farmers who were alarmed by the figures cited in last week’s Rappahannock News on proposed changes in personal property taxes can rest easier.
Contrary to the example cited, local taxes paid by most small farmers won’t go up if the levy is dropped on household goods, farm machinery and livestock, according to commissioner of revenue Merle Scoggin.
