The present home is 85 per cent student built with only very specialized services such as finished drywall, heating and air conditioning and well, septic and driveway installation provided by outside professional contractors.

"The Piedmont house provides our Rappahannock students with one of the greatest opportunities for taking theoretical classroom instruction and putting it to practical application," said superintendent of schools William Bloomer. "It’s excellent preparation for the world of work.”
