The time limit question was dropped and just before adjournment. Miller asked the board if it could meet on Monday instead of Tuesday in October as he was going to be out of town on the regular meeting date.
Eastham responded with vehement opposition, declaring again and again that he would never ask the board to change its unanimously approved meeting date just because he couldn't be there or to suit his convenience. “I don’t appreciate anyone else asking." he added.
Mrs. Massie replied that she had no objection to a change and polled Nelson Lane and Nancy Reeve to determine they didn't either. Miller, however, withdrew his request in the face of Eastham's outspoken opposition.
