The council, after further discussion. voted unanimously to grant the ladies auxiliary a lease on half the downstairs of the building that will run through June. 1984. sixty days following the expiration of the current council terms.
A second unanimous vote gave the fire department a similar lease on half the upstairs of the new town hall for storage of equipment and supplies. Steve Critzer assured the council that materials will be stored in boxes and cases, and not “in piles of stuff here and there. It will be very neat.” He added that the new fire hall still under construction near the edge of town will not have enough space, even when completed, for storage.
