The Culpeper branch of the American Association of University Women serves college graduate women from a four-county area but because the branch is designated ‘‘Culpeper." many persons from Rappahannock who would enjoy the programs, share objectives and be stimulated by the Association’s activities and goals, are unaware that they are eligible and would be welcomed enthusiastically into membership.

This national organization with branches in every state is concerned with educational and cultural opportunities offered in each locality. Membership is involved with women’s rights, goals and aspirations, whatever they may be. and with human rights in general.

Meetings are held monthly on the second Monday night at 7:30 p.m., usually in the community room of Central Fidelity Bank in Southgate Shopping Center in Culpeper. The public is invited to attend most sessions since discussions are often of general interest. Membership, however, is restricted to graduates of accredited colleges with a four year degree.
