Mrs. Beatty was born in Rappahannock County August 6, 1903, a daughter of the late Joseph Bush and Priscilla Ralls North. She was the widow of James Samuel Beatty.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph Walters of Rockville, Md., Lyle (Buck) Beatty of Front Royal and Samuel Beatty of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Anne May Beatty of Bristol, Pa., and Jane Dodson of Dickerson, Md.; one sister, Lucy Brown of Baltimore, Md.; 19 grandchildren and 28 greatgrandchildren.
