Chances for legislation allowing popular election of school boards in Virginia are better than ever in this session of the General Assembly, according to Del. David G. Brickley. (D-Prince William).

The House of Delegates Privileges and Elections Committee was scheduled to vote this week on Brickley’s bill that would allow for localities to decide by referendum the method by which their school boards would be chosen.
