People receiving social security checks in the Rappahannock area can have them deposited directly into a checkings or savings account at a financial institution of their choice, Bruce A. Hundley, social security manager in Culpeper said recently.
Direct deposit has several advantages, he said, including:
—No worry about check being lost.
—No worry about check lying in mailbox when away from home.
—Savings in time and transportation and no standing in line to cash or deposit check.
—Money in an account is safer than carrying cash.
