Discussion of Washington’s water problems dominated the regularlyscheduled town coucil meeting Wednesday, January 14.
At the well-attended meeting, town residents questioned Mayor Newbill Miller and councilmembers Brad Fisher, Taylor Updike, Charlie Jenkins, Dorothy Hawkins and Skippy Giles on the events leading up to the water crisis and complicating its solution.
At the time of the meeting many townspeople had been without water for five days. Others had' water for a few hours on Tuesday and Wednesday. A few residents had never completely run out of water, but said that what came through the pi^.'s was not drinkable.
