Ronald M. Boshette, 41, of Amissville was charged in federal district court in Alexandria on Monday with two counts of failing to file personal federal income tax returns.

Boshette pleaded not guilty to the charges brought before the court at the time of arraignment in a criminal information proceeding.

Judge Albert V. Bryan released Boshette on a $5,000 personal bond and set trial for March 25.

According to the U. S. Attorney’s Office, Boshette is alleged to have failed to file personal returns in 1976 and 1977, years daring which he was involved in two small fast food restaurants, one in Alexandria and a second in Fairfax County.

Information in the charges set his personal income for 1976 at approximately $63,000 and for 1977 at approximately $66,000.

Failure to file personal tax returns carries a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $10,000 fine for each charge.
