Activities of the HOSA chapter are guest speakers on health topics, competitive events in health areas, community projects, and attending seminars sponsored by health agencies on caring for America’s population.
The HOSA chapter will attend the State Leadership Conference for HOSA this week in Blacksburg. Its theme is Quality Health Care.
The VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) has the largest student following at Piedmont Technical Education Center. The VICA chapter is very active on the local, district, and state levels. The present State VICA President is a Piedmont student in electronics Scott Bowman.
Projects of the VICA chapter are candy sales, Christmas caroling, local, district and state competitive events, and, to end the year, the annual VICA banquet.
Vocational education is a vital part of the success of our nation and Piedmont Technical Education Center is proud to provide a part of the training which our nation needs to survive and to grow.
