After votes to table the Neal’s application and the meeting to adjourn, the Rappahannock News reporter asked the BZA chairman for an explanation of the difference between the two variance requests—why one was granted and the second tabled pending legal advice.
“If you want me to bar you from the next meeting. I’ll be glad to do it!” Gardiner replied.
With no answer forthcoming as to why the BZA treated the two variance requests differently, the reporter exited from the upstairs courtroom, leaving the BZA members, court stenographer and BZA secretary at the meeting table and ain applicant for a special use "pfermiV still in the audience.

Boy Scout Troop 123 of Washington will resume regular weekly meetings this Friday, September 18, at 7 p.m. at Trinity parish hall. New scouts and their parents are invited to attend.
