Alther
Mrs. Alther, 65, wife of William Alfred Alther, died Sunday, September 13, 1981 at her residence. A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry and Julia Hitt Whorton.
Graveside services for Mrs. Neva Clara Alther of Castleton were held Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper conducted by the Rev, Edward Hawkins.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Floyd Thomas Alther of Amissville, William Henry Alther and Wade Shelby Alther, both of Rixeyville; a brother, Melvin Whorton of Culpeper and four sisters, Mrs. Olive Dodson of Culpeper, Mrs. Addie Keyser of Washington, Mrs. Mattie Butler of Fairfax and Mrs. Minnie Fincham of Orange.
