Worden has expanded his pottery related enterprises to include the manufacture of potters’ wheels. In addition, he orders “raw” clay from mines north of Baltimore, dry blends it, soaks it with water in an old bathtub and then shovels the mixture into a special clay making machine that squirts the finished product out in blocks to be bagged, boxed and mailed to client potters.
He’s resumed his pottery classes as well. “I’ve had good sets of students.” he said, adding that he’d been concerned at first over the sort of person he’d attract out here in the boondocks. “The emphasis in my classes is a little different.
