On Fish Regs

The Game Commission’s Fish Division has scheduled a series of public meetings this month to explain the recently proposed changes to fishing regulations on the Shenandoah River’s South Fork.

The proposals, which include consideration of a slot limit and removal of the minimum size limit for bass in certain portions of the river, were presented to the Commission at its August 28 meeting in Richmond. The Commission will act on the proposals at their next meeting, scheduled for October 16.

Each of the • public meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. Meetings will be held at the following locations: City Hall, Harrisonburg on September 21st; Page County Circuit Court Room, Luray on September 22nd; Warren County Circuit Court Room, Front Royal on September 23rd; and Frederick County Court House, Winchester on September 24th.
