findings, they can difect specialized medical care when necessary at the scene. Any changes in a victim’s condition can be monitored on the way to the hospital. More and better communication equipments are needed to make this service available to every victim.
People who have benefited from courses taught by volunteer instructors could let the Governor know how much these courses have meant to them. Knowing what not to do is as important as knowing what to do while, waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
Anyone who has been a victim of an Occident or a sudden illness and was assisted by their local rescue squad can easily express his or her appreciation in a note to the Governor.
Most of all, letters from people whose lives were saved by prompt emergency medical services would indeed be impressive.
We all stay so busy and forget that suddenly any one of us can become a victim. We may never know for sure, but a letter with an 18-cent stamp could help save a life, perhaps our own.
