Assistant superintendent Jerry Lysik was equally as complimentary about what he saw at the high school. He noted the “healthy attitude and atmosphere between students and faculty” and the efficient manner in which teachers took control once class bells rang. Lysik also praised the tone set by principal Dennis Wingfield in the all-school assembly at which student responsibilities and behavior standards were emphasized.
Chairman Beverly Massie agreed that school opening had gone “remarkably smoothly,” noting that it was one of the few years when she received no calls of complaint. She expressed her thanks for a job well done*to teachers, administrators and other staff members.
"I don’t know if Mr. Huff [transportation supervisor Allie Huff) is the one to be congratulated but the buses looked like new,” interjected Eastham.

Transportation Policy
Lysik reported that he and Estabrook had drawn up a document outlining such transportation related areas as schedules, safety, discipline, emergency procedures and general administration as a first step toward formulating a transportation policy manual.
