Worden Robinson never intended to be a craftsman. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t look or sound the part.
"I slipped into pottery while I was doing graduate work in industrial design at Syracuse,” he explained. Robinson had ruled out a future as art industrial designer and was ready to leave the university until one of his professors argued him into staying and finding another field of study. “You’re the kind of guy who gives Syracuse a bad name!” was the response Worden got from the professor when he announced his plans to drop out. “I told him that 1 didn’t have any money and he said not to worry about that. I looked around and pottery seemed like fun so I tried that.”
