possibilities of a senior trip and means of financing it. The seniors sponsors are Miss Wolf, Miss Griffin and Mr. Hahn.

The National Honor Society met Tuesday and chose these officers: President-Sharon Scott; VicePresident, Sheila Scott; Secretary-Margie Menefee; Treasurer-Lavonne Adkins. The NHS decided to continue their cake projects to finance a field trip in the spring. The NHS sponsor for this year is Miss Nelson.

Also this week the senior class had the opportunity to hear a gentleman from the Red Cross. He spoke about the need for blood in our country. I think his talk encouraged many seniors to go out and give to this extremely worthy cause.

This was also the week for great accomplishments. Scott Keithley broke the school record in the first cross country meet of the year. The team also faired well, placing second in the tri-meet.

Monday afternoon the cross country team traveled to Warren County. The Rappahannock team defeated the Wildcats by a close score of 28 to 29. For those of you not familiar with Cross Country scoring, the low score wins.
