Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Frances Compton of Culpeper were conducted Tuesday at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. John S. Farrar. Burial was in Fairview' Cemetery.
Mrs. Compton. 53, died Friday. January 22, 1982, at University of Virginia Hospital.
A native of Culpeper * County, she was the wife of Clarence Jackson Compton and the daughter of Mrs. Mary Bennett Smith of Orange and the late Edward Pendleton Duncan.
She was a sales clerk for Schewels Furniture Company in Culpeper and a member of Culpeper Baptist Church.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary King and Mrs. Louise Batten, bpith of Culpeper and Mrs. Fannie Clatterbuck of Rapidan; five brothers, Edward Duncan and Thomas Duncan, both of Reva, Franklin Duncan of Boston, Kemper Duncan of Rapidan and Fred Duncan of ' Broad Run.
