compete together in the first round on Sunday, February 21, beginning at 2 p.m. at Marshall Junior High School in Marshall. Applications must be on file by Feb. 10th. Blanks may be picked up from Mrs. Judy Bomberger, Rappahannock County High School Music instructor; or contact Lions President Baines in Washington.
The competition is named for, and held each year in honor of James A. Bland, composer of the state song “Carry Me Back to Old Virginia.”
There is no age limit, so long as participants are still regularly attending high school.
