It ’s Girl Scout Cookie Time
Girl Scout cookie time is upon us and local Girl Scouts are gearing up for their biggest year ever. Their slogan: Great cookies for a great cause refers to the eventual result of this fund-raising activity. Besides purchasing an assortment of delicious cookies sold only by the Girl Scouts, your money goes to support troop activities; to help girls participate in special Girl Scout opportunities; to give direct services to girls; and to purchase equipment and property in their behalf.
Available this vear are seven varieties of cookies - Samoas, do-si-dos, trefoils, tagalongs, vanchos, chocolate cnunks and thin mints. These cookies contain no preservatives and are baked by the Little Brownie bakers especially for the Girl Scouts. They cost $1.75 per box. Your local Girl Scouts should begin taking orders on February 5 for delivery in mid-March. For more information call Mrs. George Bain at 987-8656.
