Mike had some special words of praise for his mechanic, Mike Cave, who has been with him since shortly after he opened and supervised the business during the difficult years when Mike Brown couldn’t be there during the day. “The more 1 see him, the more I realize how good a mechanic he is,” Mike said. “1 truly think—and I would say this even if he worked somewhere else - that he is one of the best mechanics around here.”
Right now, B & B has enough business to expand but problems with his present location make it hard for him to plan ahead. “I hate it when people have to wait because we don’t have enough space,” he said.
Mike’s wife, Judy, and children Kelly, 11 and Mike, Jr., 6, now share Mike’s opinion of the county where he grew up. And Mike is optimistic about the future. “We try to be fair,” he said. “If we make mistakes, we admit them and correct them. I’d much rather do business that way. To be fair, to be proud of the work you do, to provide a service, to help people and make a living at it - that’s what I’ve always wanted to do.”
