After questions were raised regarding the adequacy of road access and validity of the residential subdivision zoning category, Johnson withdrew the rezoning application. A redesigned fourlot development proposal later was approved administratively by Col. McNear.

Eleven acres were transferred to Johnson who is now seeking to deed 3.44 acres to adjoining landowner Susan Eaton who will merge the piece with her 70-acre tract, according to Konick.

In addition, he said, Johnson wants to deed 1.582 acres to another adjoining landowner, George Hawkins, while retaining 5.744 acres of the original 11-acre piece. Konick noted, however, that deeding the two smaller pieces to the adjoining landowners will leave the residue unconnected to the remainder of Johnson’s land, a problem since the 11-acre parcel was approved initially
