Garden Club
Offers Grants
This year, the Rappahannock County Garden Club will again offer the Francis J. and Margaret W. Leonard Memorial Scholarship grants to graduates of Rappahannock County High School who want to continue their education.
Two grants, in the amount of $600 each, will be given to two students who plan to attend a technical or vocational school. A third grant of $1,000 for the first year and $500 for the second year will be awarded a student going on to four years of college.
Past recipients of the scholarships include Paula Butler, Terry Woodard, Marion Eastham and Roger Lee Smoot.
Applications for the grants are available from the RCHS guidance counselor and must be returned by April 1.
