This week the Future Homemakers of America were introduced to the worlds of business and education. Margie Menefee, along with the teacher-sponsor, Mrs. Wood, invited two teachers from the Piedmont Technical Center to talk with the group about goals and plans for the future. These talks featured Mr. Hanner, a business teacher and Mrs. Ellington, who instructs the clinical program for all students studying to become Licensed Practical Nurses. They explained the various vocational classes available through the center such as Nursing, Auto Mechanics, Carpentry and Food Services, and business courses, as Data Processing, and Clerical classes.
