Where Can I Buy A Kit?
During the past few years, these kits have become very popular with many building supply, department and discount stores now selling them. Frequently you’ll see them advertised on sale.. However, the cheapest kit is not necessarily as effective as a more expensive one. A good kit should contain insulation that’s at least IV* to 2 inches thick. A number of manufacturers are now producing these kits and prices are currently running between $10 and $20.
IMPORTANT These kits are not installed in the same manner on both electric and gas water heaters. Be sure to follow directions based on the type of water heater you have.
