Aylor
Mrs. Josephine Aylor, 76, of Sperryville died Thursday, February 18, 1982 at the Washington Hospital Center in D. C.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville by the Rev. U. S. Brokenburr. Burial was in the family section of the church cemetery.
Mrs. Aylor was born in Sperryville on November 11, 1905, daughter of the late Mrs. Nettie Andies. She was the widow of William A. Aylor and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Louise Porter of Potomac Park, Md., Virginia Fletcher and Josephine Aylor, both of Washington, Ruth Pugh of Washington, D. C. and Margaret Ankins of York, Pa.; two sons. Henry Aylor of Washington, D. C. and Clifford Aylor of Sperryville; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Ruth Rankins and Roberta Williams, both of Sperryville, and two brothers, James Gatewood of California and Otha Gatewood of Washington.
